I was engrossed in a mystic gaze when upon my temple a thought was sown that spurred me to marvel at the Almighty Divinity‘s ingenuity that framed the universe by His words and this story flowed from it.
Story story! Once upon a time in a galaxy far above the blue yonder dwelled a Being with an infinite wisdom, incomprehensible rectitude, indubitable supremacy, indescribable splendor and inexhaustible potential. Seated in an altitude beyond the Olympian height of ancient Greece, He conceived a dream in the majestic womb of His bionic mind.
In His Hands The World He Held
Day by day He brooded over this “Divine Dream” which is to extend the periphery of his kingdom. “To do this”, He said to His congress “I must create a world in the realm of time. Then we will people it with beings that shares our deific attribute. They will in turn advance beyond the vicinity of their lodging”.
Since the entire coast that lies on the higher terrain were captives within His walls, the colony for this massive extension dream was beneath the celestial depth into a void space.
In the studio of his mind He painted nature, wrote symphonies inside winged creatures and in the wind trapped behind leaves. The waves He gave a tongue to sing as they lick the rocks, sculpted the mountains, and caused the earth to bud ruddy infants that will blossom into curvaceous roses whose fragrance will attract any vigorous beau to dwell within her petals and designed the horizon and everything underneath its shell.
Gradually that dream left the womb and sprouted into “our world” a tiny slice amid a gigantic universe. Harmonizing with His architectural blueprint, He constructed the world as a well-tailored suit according to His own desire, taste and subjective utopia.
And He Made Man In His Image and Likeness
But there was a major phenomenal gap which He intentionally left to be filled by us the unique being in His similitude. The only proviso He made for our precursor was some basic necessities essential for our survival, a vast deposit of natural resources and the expertise to wrought it into our personal paradise He bequeathed us.
Century after century, one brick of invention was being placed upon another to build and make habitable this villa we live in today. In this process of transforming those materials from the crude nature they were into substances of our own liking, colorful drape on earth’s window, majestic furnishings and superlative decor to our unique taste, a great sacrifice has being made, sometimes with the blood of the pioneers the bricks were stuck together.
Brick by Brick Our World Was Built
The price for this process is great, it has being paid: the foe powerful but some while other cowed out fought it with fortitude. The scars made by the sacrifice is still fresh in the horizon but it doesn’t stop us from “living the Divine Dream”
I rose up from my study to be caressed by the lovely arms of the wind by the sea-shore. On my way to the beach I had to drive through a business district, from the commercial avenue I zoomed towards a residential area and I say architectural marvel of different proportion, gravity defying structures which I discovered were once an individual dream of some structural engineer or an architect.
All These Are Someone's Dream
As I was driving through, my stereo was buzzing with the latest hits in town, wonderful lyrics sang by the melodious voice of a well-trained artist. The song where in harmony with the tunes of divers musical instrument that were skillfully played, all these like the architectural wonder I saw previously were once only real in the mind of the draftsman.
Once A Dream!
I pulled over at a MacDonald’s shop to silence the rumbling of my stomach and I tasted a well baked burger which was also once a dream of a chef, drank a bottle of coke and continued on my journey.
Someone's Dream!
Just remembered that I promised to get some groceries for Joyce, then I pulled over at a departmental store and everything I survey were part of the “Divine Dream” then I asked myself, “What is it in this world that wasn’t once a dream? From the homes we live in, to the cars we drive, down to the food we eat to our underclothes, everything in creation came to be because that was a dream of a certain person, a dream to create his own paradise in accordance with the “Divine Dream”
Every structure of this world has being a personal or collective dream of someone, within the nucleus of this world are personal world created in accordance with the desires of the originator.
So we live in the same but different world, a world of our own creation. Created either by our ambitions, quest, creed, greed or lust and we are all living the “Divine Dream”.
But yet we laugh at the dreamer and scorn his dreams, the world mocks them when they told her their dreams.
“The world is a dream built by the bricks of the dreamer” just like the world was once a dream of the Creator.
